A content larp for 30 players
SIF Games, together with Gamestorm Berlin e.V. as the event organizer, had initially planned two runs in November and December 2025. After extending the signup period, however, we made the difficult decision to cancel both as we were barely short enough players for either run. As we are conscious that dropouts happen, we deemed it too great a risk to proceed and did not want to ask players to part with hard-earned money, make travel plans, and block their free time, only to need to cancel the larp closer to the planned date.
Nonetheless, we feel deeply that this is a special larp story presenting unique human experiences and important stories around disability, otherness, and stigmatism. Creating it has been something deeply personal and valuable for us as well and, in particular, it took comments from people in the community to help us realize that this is the first larp we in the team had encountered with a focus on disability. As part of a community with a great many disabled people, not to mention many disabilities within our team, this is a lesson we will be taking with us to other larps we create, always with the aim of increasing accessibility and telling stories for and from everyone.
Therefore, we will not say that Springwater Colony will never happen – simply that we are postponing it for now. If you're interested in playing it, please add your name to our mailing list or join our Discord and we will be delighted to see you at a future run.
Although there are currently no runs of Springwater Colony planned, we do intend to run this larp in the future! If you're interested, add your name to our mailing list or join our Discord server for updates on this and other larps.

Tickets
The fee for the run will include accommodation, all meals between dinner on Day 1 through breakfast on Day 4, and the game itself. To try to accommodate players from different walks of life, we will offer four ticket types:
Anyone may sign up for any kind of ticket and this will be visible to the organizers for the purposes of administration, but the availability of free and subsidized tickets will be limited and priority placed on players who are long-term disabled, long-term unemployed, in full-time education, or any combination of these. We trust players to opt for the ticket that is appropriate for them and will not ask for details or proof of any kind. All tickets secure the same larp experience and excepting simple ticket availability, your choice of ticket will not have any impact on your likelihood of getting a spot (e.g. meaning players opting for the Supporter ticket will not be prioritized in casting).
Prices will be posted when signup opens.
Only players at least 18 years of age at the date of signup may do so. We especially encourage first-time larpers to sign up and if you have any questions, don’t be shy to ask! You can always reach us at info@sifgames.com.
Signup process
After the signup period has closed, we will run a flagging process (see below).
Players will be provided a spot based on a combination of suitability (determined from the information provided during signup on motivation to play this game, larp experience, and casting dynamics, where we will prioritize diverse runs with larpers with a range of experiences and backgrounds) and random selection.
Full character sheets will be sent well in advance of the larp.
Please note that tickets are not transferable except via SIF Games. See more information about this and our refund policy and other legalities on our legal page. Any questions or concerns can be addressed to us here.
Flagging process
Flagging will be managed entirely confidentially by our designated safety person with the project lead as backup, who will be named here when signup opens. It will include organizers and additional players added to the waitlist before the game. Because this is a small larp, it is not possible to ensure that players will not play together at all, and so we are operating with four flagging options:
“I have personal experience with this person that makes me believe they are not safe to play with in this larp.”
We will be in touch personally to discuss this with you confidentially to understand the situation and take appropriate action on a case-by-case basis.
“I don’t feel comfortable playing this larp with this person, but they aren’t unsafe for others. If they get a role, I do not want to play.”
This may be for any reason – maybe someone is an ex or current partner or you really haven't vibed with them at other larps. If we have to decide between you and the person you yellow flagged, a role will be granted randomly.
"I really want to play closely with this person."
This is someone you'd like to play closely with, maybe with a close relationship or in the same activity group. This is something we will try to honor as much as possible, but cannot promise we will be able to.
“I really need to play with this person and if they do not get a role, I don't want to play.”
This is someone you definitely want to see at the larp and if they don’t get a spot, you won’t be coming either, for whatever reason. Please keep in mind that if they don’t also blue flag you, it is possible that they get a spot but you don’t.
